PORTUGUESE CATAPLANA

"Saturday night specials"

A Portuguese Cataplana is a copper, clam shaped cooking pot.  All the ingredients are steamed inside the Cataplana and then served to your table.  It is then opened up, in front of you so you can gain the maximum aromatic buzz, from all the fresh ingredients.

The ingredients that can be used are endless, the possibilities are enormous.  At Volare we have narrowed it down to two but any special requests are welcomed.

Fresh Squid, mussels and chicken £17.50

Mushrooms, lentils, spinach and potatoes £13.50

with white wine, garlic, coriander and tomato
